There are NO parking reservations. Parking is provided on first-come, first-served basis. We have room for up to 150 cars. 

Parking lot Address:
We are located at 8468 Airway Road, Otay Mesa, San Diego CA 92154.  Take I-905 East, exit right on La Media Road (exit 7), stay on your left and drive for 1/2 mile to 1st stop sign and turn left on Airway Road. Drive for 300 feet and we are on the right.

Important thing you need to know about our parking service:

• 1. Non-covered and covered parking stalls.
• 2. Share a stall with 5 other cars, which means you have to leave your car keys.
• 3. This is a truck parking lot in a gravel lot where big rigs are also parked.
• 4. Room for up to 150 cars and 80 big rigs.
• 5. Gate guard on duty 24 hours and cameras recording full time everyday.
• 6. Free shuttle to/from Otay Mesa pedestrian border crossing pathway.
• 7. Shuttle to Tijuana airport from Delta Truck Parking; Monday - Friday from 9am-7pm.
• 8. Most IMPORTANT: If you don't mind leaving your car keys and the big rigs, you just found yourself the safest parking lot with great customer service in all Otay Mesa. But, and this is a big BUT, if you feel uncomfortable leaving with us your cars keys, and if big trucks make you feel unfomfortable, we are not the right parking lot for you.  You are welcome to try somewhere else.

Long Term Parking in Otay Mesa for Tijuana Airport

Parking in Otay Mesa near the Otay Mesa border crossing for those who fly out of Tijuana airport and need safe long-term car parking on the US side border. If you flight out of Tijuana airport, you would need to be at our parking lot 2 hours minimum to 3 hours maximum before your flight departure time. The total estimated time to go from our parking lot to the airport terminal is 15 minutes minimum and 30 minutes maximum.

If you need to get a tourist card at the airport terminal add another 15 to 30 minutes for processing the tourist card form. Note: the cost of the tourist form is the equivalent of $22.00 dollars. You must pay for it in Mexican pesos and only in cash. All of our repeat customers arrive to our parking lot 2 hours before departure flight time. At Christmas season, we suggest arriving to our parking lot 3 hours minimum and 4 hours maximum before flight departure time.

Overnight and Short-Term Parking in Otay Mesa

Overnight parking and parking for just a few hours (short-term parking) in Otay Mesa for those who visit Tijuana for work, medical or family reasons. Short term parking for those who need to visit the Sentri office or need to get a visa permit extension at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.

Safe car parking on US side border for those who prefer to cross back on foot. Save money on additional car insurance coverage. Avoid traffic headaches and car accidents by driving in Tijuana. Save time crossing back on foot. For a short trip into Tijuana, the smart choice is to park on the US side border and to take a taxi to your destination and another taxi back to Otay Mesa border crossing. Parking fee is $7.00 dollars a day and we are open 24 hours everyday.

Driving Direction to Delta Truck Parking in Otay Mesa

Driving to Delta Truck Parking is very easy. We are about 2 minutes driving from freeway exit #7 on I-905 East.

From the South: Take I-5 South or I-805 South to I-905 East and exit on La Media Road (exit #7). Turn right at La Media Road and drive for 1/2 mile to 1st stop sign. Turn left at Airway Road and drive for 300 feet and you will see us on your right.

From the North: Take I-5 North or I-805 North to I-905 East and exit on La Media Road (exit #7). Turn right at La Media Road and drive for 1/2 mile to 1st stop sign. Turn left at Airway Road and drive for 300 feet and you will see us on your right.

From the East: Take I-8 West to CA-125 South (Toll fee $3.50 from CA-125/SR-54 to Otay Mesa Road) and turn right at Otay Mesa Road (end/start of CA-125). Drive for about one mile to 2nd Traffic light and turn left at La Media Road. Drive for 3/4 mile to 1st stop sign and turn left at Airway Road. Drive for 300 feet and you will see us on your right side. To avoid paying for toll at CA-125/SR54, take CA-125 South and at SR-54 intersection continue West on SR-54 to I-805 South. Proceed as explained above at "From the South" section.

About Delta Truck Parking

Delta Truck Parking is a 3.7-acre parking lot business that was founded in August 2006. It  first started as a commercial parking lot with room for 110 parking stalls where each stall was and still is 12 feet wide by 70 feet long. It was a rough start because there were several low-cost parking lots in the community but none of them provided the safety and customer service that trucking companies were demanding.

We asked hundreds of truck drivers and hundreds of trucking companies what they needed from a parking lot and with no doubt 100% of them demanded the same from a truck parking lot. They all needed a safe place to park. They all wanted a safe and secure place to parked their expensive loads and expensive equipment. So we setup cameras to monitor the parking lot 24 hours, fixed the fence and lighting, started making check-rounds every hour all around the parking structure, denied non-customers access to the parking lot,  purchased 2 new cars to provide free shuttle service for truck drivers to/from the Otay Mesa pedestrian crossing, provided help to truck drivers when backing-up to avoid hitting parked big rigs, and we made our parking service available 24 hours every single day of the year. We changed the way truck parking lots operated in Otay Mesa and as of today we still are the safest truck parking lot in the community.

In March of 2009 Delta Truck Parking decided to open its doors to a new type of parking service. Parking for family cars. For the rest of that year we only made room to park 10 cars. We opened 2 parking stalls where five cars would share one stall. Customer would need to leave their car key so that we could move the cars around within these two parking stalls. Cars were parked in a separate area in the parking lot, just in front of the main office to keep a good aye on them. But over the years we gained more business through customer referrals and we had to open more room for more cars.

In May of 2011 we decided to open room for 20 more cars for a total of 30 cars. But apparently that was not enough because we had to reject business from car customers throughout the year. In the mean time our truck driver customers were getting upset because they had to look for truck parking somewhere else.

In June of 2012 Delta Truck Parking decided to make more room for car parking customers. What that meant for truck drivers was that we took 20 parking stalls away from them. This parking formula led to provide parking for 80 commercial trucks and up to 150 family cars.
